Growing up in Lanikai on the island of Oahu, I have always been surrounded and inspired by beauty. At a young age I was mentored by my father who was an artist and was given my first airbrush at the age of ten. As a young adult I pursued my artistic abilities through makeup art and earned my Asthetician license. To further my growth within the industry I also earned my hair license where I then formally trained with Vidal Sassoon for three Years to be a senior stylist. Through my continuing education I learned to value an appreciation for staying current with upcoming trends and always fine tuning my abilities of the craft. I have trained with some of the industries finest including Wella, Martin Parsons, Guy Tang, Toni & Guy, Kim Vo, MAC Pro, Makeup Forever Pro, Eve Pearl, Temptu Pro, and many more.
My experience behind the chair and with salon management has aided in the development of my own salon and website (makeupmauiandhair.com). This has allowed me to further my career in television, commercial, and editorial productions. I have a strong client list which include Honda, Spectrum, Waldorf Estoria Hotels, Montage Hotels, Billabong, AMR (American Medical Response), Bella Magazine, Darling Magazine, Pacific Weddings Magazine, Modern Weddings Magazine, Avis Rent-a-Cars, Golf Channel, Isagenix, and many more. I am an active preferred vendor for some of Hawaii’s finest venues including Four Seasons, Ritz Carlton, Andaz, and Montage.
Through learning to brand my name and business through the use of the web and social media I have developed a set of important skills to continue to grow in the industry and personalize current trends. I am a creative business focused professional who is organized and values time management. I have the talent to apply unique looks which meet individual style preferences and exceed expectations. I have the competency to interpret my clients needs while producing technically accurate visual representations. Having over fifteen years experience in the industry I have maintained long lasting relationships with my clients who continually book my services.
An Important part of my life is to remain active with my community service. I have been involved with The Family Life Crisis Center for ten years and donate haircuts to the homeless every third saturday of the month. I have been involved with Relay For Life donating haircuts to benefit The American Heart Association as well as my continual services to Women Helping Women. One of my newest passions for the last couple years has been with the foster program for the Humane Society. I am always looking for my next charitable contribution and a way to allow me to stay connected and give back to my community.
